Things Are Really Going To Sh-t For Trump Now“We’re standing there with our eyes closed getting punched in the face” - Pete Hegseth must go, now
Morning all. I just had a great talk with Jen Rubin over at the Contrarian about our current moment. In getting ready for our talk Jen and I discussed how we were both struggling to capture what we are witnessing now so we spent some time wordsmithing and kicking things around. Here is some of what we came up with….
I’ve been saying for months that things were going to get worse for Trump and the Rs as we got closer to the election but man I did not expect it to get as bad as it has…… I will be sharing our discussion via email later this afternoon. Let’s spend some time now diving into the great unraveling/rotting/imploding we are seeing…… Here are a shocking series of photos released by CBS News of damage done to US bases in the Middle East: From the story:
So the US has not only suffered an extraordinary and humiliating defeat in the Middle East - one Trump keeps lying about everyday - but oil prices have soared globally and gas/diesel prices in the US have soared too. Diesel may soon hit $7 a gallon in some states, just in time for the fall harvest. And as bad as all that is it could get worse. From the NYT: Let’s join the Massie Impeachment effort today. Call your Senators and House Rep and demand they Impeach and remove Hegseth without delay. In an extraordinary, historic, and humiliating failure of Trump’s foreign policy Canada is in essence leaving its alliance with the US and attempting to forge a new, formal alliance with Europe. On Monday the Supreme Court nuked Trump’s ridiculous mail ballot ploy. Trump’s corrupt crypto bill died in the Senate yesterday. Last night the MAGA-led House rebuked Trump on his failed Iran war. Today the Senate is likely to rebuke him on his tariffs. Anti-data centers bills are gaining GOP support in both chambers as the corrupt, addled madman doubles down on unregulated AI, data centers, the whole thing…….. Economist Mike Zaccardi released this powerful graphic that captures the economic dynamic we’ve been discussing here - wages and salaries are down and health care costs are rising for everyone: The Fed is almost certainly going to raise interest rates today. It will be a very loud, public confirmation of what an epic disaster Trump’s Presidency has been. This is the lead story on the Washington Post website now - more rejection, repudiation, weakening…… Yes the polling continue to be terrible for Trump and the Rs but this week we’ve started seeing truly gaudy generic ballot leads for Democrats. Anything above +7 is a wave. +12 is a big, big wave…… They are unraveling, rotting, weakening and we are putting our heads down and doing the work. For it is our turn now to score a big win for democracy and freedom, here and everywhere, by…… Kicking These Corrupt Traitors’ Asses And Winning The Midterms!!!!!!!!!!!!Be sure to become an Early Vote Champion in your networks, communities, and organizations.
