State utility regulators finalized the repeal of statewide electricity efficiency standards that had governed utilities since 2010.

Members of the Arizona Corporation Commission said the program achieved its energy-saving goals and that the requirements were now a cost burden for ratepayers.

The rules also posed a risk to future economic growth, including factory and data center development, members said.

Supporters of the regulations lobbied for the panel to update the rules to reflect current grid conditions and technology.

Article Icon 1July 21 Primary Nears

The state's July 21 primary is approaching, and voters have options to cast their ballots before or on Election Day.

Early in-person voting runs through next Friday, while mail ballots must be mailed back no later than Tuesday. Independent voters may request a party ballot to participate.

The primary will decide nominees for governor and other statewide officers, the U.S. House of Representatives, and more. You can find information about the matchups here.

Earlier this year, the state Legislature voted to move Arizona primaries to the second-to-last Tuesday in July. Previously, the primary took place on the first Tuesday in August.

Article Icon 1Heat Stuns Colorado River Visitors

Triple-digit temperatures along the Colorado River in Yuma are driving residents and visitors to the water for relief.

Several visitors said the intensity of Arizona's heat caught them off guard. “Here is a lot hotter than it is in Texas," Arizona newcomer Andrea Meza said.

The Yuma stretch of the river remains one of the state's most popular spots for swimming and cooling off during the summer.

Health experts continue advising people to hydrate and take other precautions.

Big Oil Just Bet Big on Lithium

Eni, Italy’s largest oil producer, just signed a strategic agreement to invest in EnergyX’s lithium project in Chile, a stake that could reach $225M. The project is expected to generate $1.3B in annual revenue at forecasted market prices.

It’s just one piece of EnergyX’s portfolio holding up to 15M+ tons of untapped lithium, and it’s the latest proof of their progress. Through July 16, you can invest as an early-stage shareholder and share in that growth.

EnergyX’s patented tech recovers up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods at 500X the speed. When combined with their resource portfolio, the road to commercial-scale production is clear. Lithium demand is projected to grow 5X by 2040, so the timing couldn’t be better.

General Motors and POSCO are already EnergyX shareholders. Now it’s your turn. Become an early-stage EnergyX shareholder before the July 16 deadline.

This Metal’s Price Went Up 170%

No, not gold. Lithium. Prices more than doubled from last June to this one, spurring a modern-day “white gold” rush driven by AI, energy, and more.

With demand growing 5X by 2040, a major opportunity's emerging. No wonder 50,000+ people have  invested in EnergyX.

Their patented tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods, in days instead of months. That combination of technological prowess and market demand earned an investment from General Motors.

In the past 24 months, EnergyX has raised ~$100M from retail investors, formed a first-of-its-kind lithium agreement with the U.S. Army, and Eni, Italy’s largest oil company, just signed an agreement to invest up to $225M.

Now they’re preparing to unlock ~15M+ tons of lithium. Invest in EnergyX before the 7/16 deadline.
