Masters Week Arrives

The 90th Masters Tournament begins Thursday at Augusta National, with world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler as the betting favorite.

AccuWeather's first 2026 Atlantic hurricane season outlook projects fewer-than-usual hits on the U.S., with Georgia's coast at near-average risk.

Hurricane season officially starts June 1. AccuWeather's early forecast comes after last season's absence of any hurricanes making landfall in the U.S. for the first time in a decade.

This year, forecasters predict that three to five storms will make a direct impact on the U.S., with the northern Gulf Coast and the Carolinas as the highest-risk zones.

Ahead of the season, the National Hurricane Center updated its hurricane forecast cone graphics to include inland warnings.
