Family Sues after Bus Crash Deaths

The parents of 13-year-old Zoe Davis have filed a $5 million lawsuit against a Tennessee school district and bus driver after a March 27 crash in Carroll County killed two students.

The suit claims the driver crossed the center line and hit a dump truck head-on, alleging negligence, distraction, and poor training by the school system.

About 25 students and five adults were on board when the crash happened en route to a field trip.

The family says the case is about getting answers and preventing future tragedies. Damages are capped at $5 million under state law.

Murfreesboro ATM Theft Attempt Fails

Police in Murfreesboro say multiple suspects tried and failed to rip an ATM from the ground early Friday using two stolen pickup trucks and heavy-duty chains.

The attempt happened around 4:30 a.m. at a Chase Bank, where officers found one truck still hooked to the damaged machine and another abandoned nearby.

Investigators say the group couldn’t access any cash and fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicles, both reported stolen from Davidson County.
