ICE Ruling, Women's World Cup, and Thanksgiving for Squirrels

Why This Moment Matters

Legacy media is shrinking—fast.

Layoffs, declining trust, collapsing readership, and a business model built on outrage, bias, and celebrity commentary masquerading as journalism.

Meanwhile, The Flyover is growing—because our product is fundamentally different.

  • Americans are fed up with slant, spin, and political agendas.
  • They're tired of "news" that's really opinion dressed up as fact.
  • They're rejecting legacy media's clickbait culture—and choosing an alternative that tells the truth plainly.

We're gaining market share precisely because legacy outlets are losing it.

They doubled down on their failed playbook—and their followers are walking away.

The Flyover is hiring, expanding state editions, growing our national audience, and proving that fact-first, common-sense journalism isn't just needed—it's winning.

Your investment helps build a movement, accelerate our momentum, and gives you ownership in the news source millions are turning to as they turn away from traditional media.

If you've been thinking about becoming a reader-owner, this final Cyber Monday window is the time.

State Sen. Faith Winter, a Broomfield Democrat, died in a five-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 south of Denver Wednesday evening.

Winter, 45, had a son and a daughter. She was entering her 12th and final year as a term-limited state lawmaker.

In a statement, Gov. Jared Polis said the state is "shaken" by the loss of Winter, calling her a "fierce advocate" for Coloradans and adding that he had known her for nearly 20 years.

Three people were injured in the crash, which is still under investigation. A Democratic vacancy committee in Senate District 25 will determine who serves out Winter's term.

Article Icon 1Judge Rules ICE Conduct Unlawful

A federal judge ruled last week that warrantless immigration arrests in Colorado without probable cause that a person is a flight risk violate federal law.

U.S. District Judge R. Brooke Jackson in Denver granted the preliminary injunction to immigrant rights groups that sued ICE last month to stop what they allege are "indiscriminate" arrests in the state.

According to Jackson's ruling, ICE agents who arrest someone without a warrant must first determine there's probable cause that the person is both in the country illegally and likely to escape before a warrant can be obtained.

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security called the decision an "activist ruling" and asserted the lawsuit's allegations are false.

Denver's snowless streak ended at 224 days on Saturday morning, marking the city's second-latest first snowfall on record.

While just 0.2 inches fell in Denver, the holiday weekend storm brought significantly more snow to the high country, with two mountain passes topping 10 inches. See the full list here.

Snowfall continued at higher elevations into Sunday night—benefiting ski areas after a dry, slow start to the season—as lows dropped into the teens and single digits.

Another storm system is set to arrive Wednesday, bringing fresh snow to the mountains and light snow chances along the Interstate 25 corridor.
