Sunday afternoon, I signed 2,300 copies of my book, Giving Up Is Unforgivable: A Manual For Keeping A Democracy. It’s due out October 21, but thanks to y’all, my local bookstore, Little Professor, received the largest number of preorders for a book ever, and I spent a fun afternoon with Amelia, Meredith (who owns the shop), Olivia, and Amelia’s husband, Tony, signing each one of them. Overwhelmed doesn’t even begin to say how grateful I am for your response to the book! And we need it now, more than ever. I’m glad it’s almost time. In case you’re wondering how long it takes to sign that many books, it takes five Taylors. That would be five run-throughs of Taylor Swift’s new album, “Life of a Showgirl.” I’m one of many people this weekend thinking, “Wow, I couldn’t have done that without Taylor,” although my “that” may be a little unique. I’m so appreciative, despite this sad and crazy time we are living in, for all of the people around me. We give it all we got. Thank you! You can preorder the book for delivery on October 21 here. And if you’re in one of the cities I’m visiting on my book tour, I hope you’ll join me and say hi! Some of the shows that were previously sold out have moved to larger venues, so grab your tickets now if you missed out earlier.
