Ever feel like your blog is doing everything except converting? It’s not a content problem. It’s a conversion context problem. You’re giving people answers — but not the next step they actually want to take. Let’s change that.
Make the conversion feel like a favorNo one wants to “enter your funnel.” But they do want to solve the problem that led them to your blog. So reframe the ask. Instead of “Join our newsletter”, try: → “We send teardown templates like this every week — want in?” Now it’s not a call to action. It’s a call to value. Drop in-line CTAs that feel like part of the storyHere’s a wild idea: make your CTA sound like it belongs. Not a giant button jammed at the end. Not a form disguised as a paragraph. Just a helpful aside mid-post that says, “Want a version of this you can copy-paste? Grab the template.” Inline CTAs are like seasoning — sprinkle them where the flavour’s strongest. That’s where the conversion moment lives. Use intent-driven offersForget the funnel for a second. Just ask: Why is this person reading this post? Then match that intent with something useful. → Post about retention? Offer a churn survey template. It’s not about pushing harder — it’s about offering smarter. Because when the offer lines up with the mindset, the conversion feels inevitable. Stop using haunted house popupsYou know the ones. You scroll 12 pixels and BAM — a full-screen “Wait! Don’t leave!” jumpscare. Nobody likes being yelled at by a modal. Especially not when they’re halfway through a thought. Popups aren’t the enemy. But irrelevant, mistimed, or overly aggressive ones? That’s conversion sabotage. Use subtle exit-intent offers, embedded CTAs, or timed nudges instead. Treat your blog like a choose-your-own-adventureMost blogs feel like a dead end. You read the post… then what? Instead, give readers clear forks in the road. Add soft nudges like: → “Want to go deeper? Read this teardown.” Let them self-select what comes next. If you’ve ever screamed “Why aren’t they converting?!” at your analytics dashboard — same. Let’s swap notes? —Corey
