| Today's newsletter is proudly supported by ReactSquad 🎉 Looking for an experienced React developer who doesn't need to be micro-managed? I decided to partner with ReactSquad after experiencing first-hand how hard it was to hire a reliable engineer without paying Silicon Valley salary rates. All you have to do is tell them about who you're looking for, they'll find a match within 24 hours, interview your match, and then start your 7-day free trial. There's no minimum commitment and if you're not happy, they'll find a replacement for free. Make sure to mention "Corey" or "Swipe Files."

Idea 💡
Create competitor comparison pages.
These can serve two purposes:
- Siphon traffic from competitors in Google
- Link internally to help website visitors make a decision on your product/service
Many perceive competitor comparison pages to be too aggressive, pushy, or critical. I've also heard hesitations around making website visitors aware of competitors and sending business away.
But the fact is that buyers are more educated than ever before. People love to comparison shop. Whether it's software, sneakers, or solar, comparisons help people make decisions.
If they're looking for a comparison, wouldn't you want to be able to provide that?
Examples 🔍
Speaking as a consultant to SavvyCal, we found that one of the most common hesitations people had was how it was different than Calendly. Your home page should communicate your differentiation, but sometimes you need to explicitly call it out and compare.
While this strategy works extremely well in SaaS, this strategy can also work in e-commerce. There are multiple e-commerce companies that are using this strategy to capitalize on their competition's branded queries.
Huel gets pretty technical with a table that compares nutritional facts.
