My Brennan Center colleague Jesse Wegman joined the Brennan Center this year as a Senior Fellow, after 12 years on the New York Times editorial board. At the Times, Jesse, who is also a lawyer, wrote about the Supreme Court, law, politics, and democracy. He is the author of Let The People Pick The President: The Case for Abolishing the Electoral College. He has a new book, “The Lost Founder," coming out this year. It’s about James Wilson, a Founding Father most Americans know little about, but who was a strong advocate for democracy (as opposed to small r “republicanism”). So I was delighted when I learned Jesse was going to be writing a newsletter that will fill an under-covered niche for the Brennan Center. He joins us tomorrow morning to tell us all about it, and I’m hoping we’ll also have time for him to share his views on issues like Supreme Court and Electoral College reform. Make sure you mark your calendar and join us in the morning! We’re in this together, Joyce You're currently a free subscriber to Civil Discourse with Joyce Vance .
