Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, Wednesday, 8:30pm ETFresh off of today's oversight hearing with AG BondiPramila Jayapal is always immaculately prepared for Congressional hearings. It’s been one of the hallmarks of her service during five terms in the House. Her district encompasses most of Seattle and surrounding areas, including Shoreline, Vashon Island, Lake Forest Park, and parts of Burien and Normandy Park, but her platform as an early opponent of Donald Trump’s policies during his first term has been national in stature. Jayapal is the first South Asian woman elected to Congress, and one of a handful of naturalized American citizens who serve. She has always been a champion of civil rights, which is why I hoped we’d have the chance to speak with her tonight—the unique way she championed Epstein survivors in this morning’s oversight hearing with Attorney General Pam Bondi speaks volumes about how to achieve justice, when the Justice Department appears to have abandoned that mission. Mark your calendar for 8:30 pm this evening, and we’ll have a chance to hear her assessment of the hearing. If you’ve got questions for us, please leave them in the chat: We’re in this together, Joyce You're currently a free subscriber to Civil Discourse with Joyce Vance .
