Coca-Cola to Cut Jobs at Atlanta HQ

Coca‑Cola plans to lay off around 75 of its roughly 3,100 employees at its Atlanta corporate headquarters in late February.

The cuts are part of a broader restructuring effort announced late last year.

"We're evolving our organization to unlock growth we see ahead. This is something we've been doing steadily, and it is something we will continue to do," states Coca-Cola spokesperson Scott Leith.

The company says the layoffs will occur in phases and that it has provided more than 60 days' notice to affected workers.

No union represents the impacted employees.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution Ends Print Editions

The Atlanta Journal‑Constitution (AJC) delivered its final print newspaper on Dec. 31, 2025, closing a 157‑year chapter in Atlanta as the outlet shifts into an all-digital format.

Atlanta now becomes the only major U.S. city without a daily printed newspaper.

"What we're doing now is we're meeting people where they are and we're stepping into our future," AJC Editor-in-Chief Leroy Chapman said in August.

The final print issue is being sold for $8, four times its normal price of $2.
