Andrew Weissmann join me this morning for a chat that was ostensibly about our book club pick, George Orwell’s 1984, and although we did have a really interesting chat about it, news of the search warrant executed at former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton’s home broke just as we were starting, so we covered the implications of that situation, as well. We could not have picked a more timely book, despite the title, to read together right now, and Andrew’s take on the difference between the path to authoritarianism in the book and Trump’s approach is an important one. If you missed us this morning, you can listen in now. Are you reading the book? Have you finished it? I hope that either way, you’ll share your thoughts!
