Here’s my Hopium post from this morning if you haven’t gotten to it yet. It drove our discussion today so hope you can get to it when you have the time. A huge thank you to Lisa and Susan for having me on today! Senate Tariff Vote Is Scheduled For Shortly After 530pm Tonight - The vote is happening in an hour or so - make your calls! Here’s what I wrote this morning about the current state of play: Call your Senators, particularly Republican Senators, and urge them to vote for the Wyden-Paul-Kaine resolution that will roll back these terrible tariffs - it is coming up for a vote tonight! If you live in Alaska, Kentucky or Maine it is critical that you call Senators Collins, Murkowski, McConnell and Paul and urge them to hold the line against these tariffs. These 4 voted with the Dems last month to roll back the Canadian tariffs and if we get them again we can, after today’s terrible GDP report, offer a serious rebuke to the President on his disastrous economic course. And note that Politico is now reporting that Speaker Johnson has cracked the door open to House action on the tariffs:
