If you’ve been feeling less than exuberant about the prospect of sitting through another Donald Trump State of the Union Address, then Miles Taylor and I have the antidote for you! I wrote a chapter called “Don’t be the frog,” which encouraged people to wake up and see what Trump was doing to our country, before it was too late. It’s important that we listen to this president deliver this SOTU address, even though it’s going to be frustrating and difficult. We need to have our facts straight, and that means going straight to the source. But it doesn’t have to be as grim as it might sound. I’m tired of letting Donald Trump take all the fun out of democracy. We can learn and resist together, and reclaim what matters. I’m actually starting to look forward to it.
