Article Icon 1Study: Ohio No. 21 for Alien Abduction Claims

A study ranks Ohio No. 21 in the nation for alien abduction claims, ahead of neighboring Michigan, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Canada Sports Betting's Alien Abduction Odds Index based its rankings on reported UFO sightings and purported abductions, with Ohioans given a 1.13% chance of abduction.

"The implied probability is not a prediction.... It simply shows how often abduction-style reports have appeared in one region compared with others," the analysts noted.

From 2019 to 2024, Ohio averaged one report per 11,300 residents, while New Hampshire topped the list at 24 reports per 100,000 residents. You can view the full report here.
