| Plane Crashes in Cheatham County Field | Knoxville To Open Delaney Family Museum Knoxville’s Beck Cultural Exchange Center is turning the former home of artists Beauford and Joseph Delaney into a museum, honoring their family’s history and work. The brothers, born in the early 1900s, became celebrated painters, while their parents—born into slavery—raised 10 children in poverty, with only four surviving to adulthood. The museum will feature Beauford’s abstract art, family artifacts like a tattered Bible, and an artist-in-residence program. See renderings here. No opening date has been set, but organizers say the site will spotlight both the struggles and triumphs of one of Knoxville’s most historic families. | Titans Fall to Broncos in Opener The Tennessee Titans failed to score a touchdown in their season opener, settling for four field goals in a 20-12 loss to the Denver Broncos.
