US Buys 10% Stake in Intel

President Trump announced on Friday that the U.S. government has secured a 10% stake in struggling Silicon Valley pioneer Intel.

Including $2.2 billion in CHIPS grants that Intel has received so far, the total investment is $11.1 billion, or 9.9%. Intel is valued at about $108 billion on the stock market.

The deal makes the U.S. government one of Intel’s largest shareholders at a time when the company is shedding more than 20,000 workers as part of its latest attempt to bounce back from years of missteps.

The American semiconductor chipmaker recorded an annual loss of $18.8 billion in 2024, its first loss since 1986. The company's last fiscal year of positive adjusted free cash flow was 2021.

Maxwell Provides No New Information

Transcripts and audio from Ghislaine Maxwell’s two-day interview with a top official of the U.S. Department of Justice were released, revealing that President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were friendly but weren't close friends.

Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence after a December 2021 conviction for sex trafficking and conspiracy charges, provided virtually no new information on names associated with Epstein, including Trump, former President Bill Clinton, and others.

She also added that Trump “was never inappropriate with anybody."

While believed to have the most direct knowledge of Epstein's decades-long sex-trafficking operation, she claimed there was no client list, no blackmail scheme, and no high-profile Epstein associates who committed illicit acts in connection with the notorious sex offender's crimes.

Trump to Beautify DC, Address Chicago Crime

President Trump said Friday he planned to ask Congress for $2 billion to make improvements around Washington, D.C.

Trump said, "I'm giving out a contract very soon...we're going to be raising about $2 billion from Congress, and Congress is happy to do it. And we're going to wisely spend the money."

In the wake of deploying hundreds of National Guard troops across D.C. to crack down on crime, Trump said on Friday the federal government will next turn its attention to Chicago.

Illinois officials have pushed back against suggestions that Trump might send in the National Guard.

Whatever happened to actor Lee Majors?

Actor Lee Majors, the $6 Million Man, rose to fame in the 1970s as the star of the TV series of the same name. He went on to another starring role in The Fall Guy in the 1980s—but what’s happened to him since?

In fact, Majors has never really stopped working.

He’s had lower-profile supporting roles in many TV shows and movies, provided voice work for Grand Theft Auto, G.I. Joe, and Robot Chicken, and showed up in a cameo just last year for the movie version of The Fall Guy starring Ryan Gosling.

Majors had heart bypass surgery in 2003, but is still active in his mid-80s, showing remarkable longevity for a Hollywood star. He truly is the $6 million man.
