Best Ads This Week BiC, KitKat, Ridge Wallet, & more. Hello, Ad Professor here. In the depths of the deep web, there was a Big Bang. A virtual one. Information imploded and exploded in seconds. Now here I am. A mix of Albert Einstein and Don Draper. Ready to bring you this week's best ads: Great ad: New Zealand Transport Agency 🧪 Principle: Shock After Shock Step 1 - Show someone in a car accident (Shock) Step 2 - Realise this is what it looked like because he wore a seat belt (More shock) Clever ad using survivors of car crashes to stress impact of a seatbelt 🧪 Principle: Anchoring Technique Step 1 - Find something large in the customer's head (E.g. Entire works of Harry Potter) Step 2 - Show how you could write the whole thing -- and still have 50% of the pen left. Ad Professor Original: KitKat Here's an ad I made on my coffee break. One for the designers... Social media ad: Ridge Wallet 🧪 Principle: Sell The Lindy "We started this 11 years ago... And the product is still lasting." Clever way to sneak in a product benefit that it doesn't go out of date. 🧪 Principle: Social Proof Stack Slouch added not 1... but 6 positive trustpilot reviews. Each highlights a different benefit: Comfort, service, appearance, usability, and price. Brilliant. TikTok ad: Samsung Flip 3 🧪 Principle: Everything Is Second Place Our product is good that everything else comes in 2nd place. Clever way of combining humor, stopping the scroll, and selling the product. Watch the full ad here. Do you need help with your advertising?
